Project-based/problem-based learning
Project-based learning captures the essence of collaborative, design learning experiences and product-led learning tasks. This "learning by doing" approach strongly aligns with the Design and Technologies curriculum objectives.
Project and problem-based learning has a central process of design thinking. This process has multiple alliterations however they share a common approach to investigate, explore options and refine ideas or processes . The engineering process is an example, below, is a frequently used framework.
